Malika Haqq has leaked her own nudes and its her most empowering move yet

If you’re a fan of The Kardashians, you know how great a friend Malika Haqq is to Khloe Kardashian (her bff), and everyone else around her. She's a reliable friend, the voice of reason and a problem-solver.

So we weren't surprised when Malika took to Instagram yesterday to leak her own nudes. Why? The mother-of-one shared that an unidentified troll is trying to extort her for money by threatening to leak photos of her bare boobs, after the reality star underwent breast surgery in back in 2017. We don't have information on how this person actually acquired these photos, but we're just as shocked as you are that they would try and use them to make money.

In a series of now-expired Instagram Stories, Malika shared a compilation of upper body nude pictures with stars emojis covering her nipples, with the caption: “Since y'all are sensitive about nipples I'll cover them. This post is for the loser fuck who is trying to extort me for money. You can stop sending these weak ass photos around. I'm proud of my breast job. I won't give you a dime. Kiss my ass.”

Instagram's The Shaderoom (a popular Black and Hip Hop culture blog) reposted the stories on their feed, to which Khloe Kardashian commented: “Yes ma'am! Talk your shit from Paris with your handsome baby boy! Ilove! Have fun at Disneyland in Paris… Always be the queen that you are”.

Welp. That's one way to shut down a bully. The fact that there are people out there in 2023 still trying to extort and humiliate women for money using intimate images of their bodies is extremely scary on its own. But Malika beat the extortionist to it by leaking the nudes herself, rather than succumbing to fear and manipulation, in her most empowering move yet.

It doesn't stop there thought. As the final K.O., Malika posted another (now expired) story. This time, she's talking directly to the camera, candidly addressing the issue further. She said: “I posted that photo of me after having my boobs done I think in like 2017, I don't even remember, doesn't even matter. I own my stuff, I recommend that everybody do that. And don't let anyone take anything away from you, I'm not ashamed and bounce back, boss up, every time, love you.”

But her message is not to be reduced simply as crisis management, or damage control. If anything, conversations like this promote the creation of safer spaces, and allow for broader dialogue surrounding body positivity and self-love.

Challenging societal taboos often comes at a price, but Malika didn't let that get in the way of protecting herself and her reputation, reminding us all to feel empowered to reclaim our own narratives. In a world that often objectifies and commodifies women's bodies, more bold moves like that could contribute to a shift in traditional power structures, and help redefine the narrative around personal image and sexuality.

Ace's mum clearly does not come to play. In not so many words Malika Haqq really just said to not let anyone ever, in your life, tek u fi eediat. And to that we say: Boss moves.
