Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton chose to celebrate the New Year apart. In April 2014, Black Shelton and Gwen Stefani got together while mentoring The Voice season 7 candidates.

Both of them were still with their former partners at the time. Shelton was married to fellow country singer Miranda Lambert, while Stefani was wed to rocker Gavin Rossdale.

Owing to prior obligations, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton chose to celebrate the New Year apart. On December 18, Stefani discussed the couple’s holiday plans in an interview with Access Hollywood.

In response to a question about how she would support her husband during his performance on the CBS special “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash,” the 54-year-old singer shared her own travel itinerary.

Stefani said, “I was going to be at his show, but Vegas called and wanted me to be in Vegas.” “After doing Vegas last year, I kind of felt like, ‘Remind me never to do Vegas again,’ because sometimes all you want is to be on your own and not the host. 

The singer of “Hollaback Girl” rang in 2023 with two performances at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas on December 30, 2022, and December 31, 2022, last year. But in the end, Stefani had second thoughts and chose to seize the chance this year as well, saying, “If you’re going to work, then I’m going to work.” It will be fantastic because I’m just going to fly in and out.

Stefani’s three children from her previous marriage to Gavin Rossdale are now under the stepfathership of the country music star: Apollo, 9, Zuma, 15, and Kingston, 17. The pair got married in July 2021. 

This year, Shelton, Stefani, and her three children looked glammed up in their holiday card, which put the couple’s blended family front and center.

Shelton, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo all wore matching black suits, and the coach of “The Voice” wore a gown with ruffles in a neutral tone. Shelton’s dog, Betty, was seated next to the trio as they posed, finishing the picture.

New Year’s Plans and Resolutions

Stefani shared some of her New Year’s plans with Access Hollywood while she was speaking backstage at “The Voice.” These included releasing a new album and “being more consistent” with her wellness practices.

Concerning her “love resolution,” the singer only said, “Never stop loving. Continue to offer and receive love. We carry out the task.

Shelton told Entertainment Tonight last month about his own New Year’s resolutions, stating that his main objective was to drink less alcohol. “I haven’t been able to give up drinking yet. “You know, even making cuts has been difficult.” He stated. Well, at least there’s a resolution. I’ll say it again now: cutting back on or giving up alcohol completely is my New Year’s commitment.
